5 star experience, truly. I came from out of town and was in Fresno for 4 weeks. As I got down here without any support my cars brakes completely went out on me. I called the nearest shop with the highest rating because I didn’t want to get my car towed anywhere and I landed on 5 star auto. I requested service and they told me to come in the same day and they’ll get it looked at and figured out. I wasn’t able to get a quote on the repair for a day or so which I was worried about because I didn’t want to have to get a second opinion if the price was outrageous, but they fixed it for easily half the price anyone else would have. Super, super happy with my experience, and would recommend for anyone else in the area that’s looking for a good value and honest shop.

This is my first time coming to 5 Star, I mostly picked them because of the reviews and I’m glad I did because they did a great job on my AC . It works better than before I ran into an issue and took it in for repair . They had my car ready first thing the next morning and Jose gave me a great price , they are super cool and explained what the issue was . I’ll definitely return again for future car repairs .

Honest and saved me $$. Brought my 2nd Gen Tacoma in with the intent of needing a charging system diagnosis. Met with Jose and he was honest and let me know (without needing to test it... as most shops would have gladly taken the money to do unnecessarily) even though my battery was only a year old (purchased elsewhere) that it was likely the culprit. ***I had just replaced the alternator and with a newish battery my next option was to pay $$ to have the system fully tested. Nice to know there's still reputable shops out there and honest people like Jose. 👍

Quickest service possible and no appointment. Brought my car in for new rotors and pads in the morning and was ready well before noon. VERY reasonable prices, and I made it back to work without getting into a fiery inferno, so the quality is there.

As Proverbs 3:27-28 calls on men to not withhold good to those whom it is due, when it is in your hands to do so immediately, I must follow through with this positive review. These men, this autoshop, is trustworthy. They were kind, straightforward and experts in their craft. The issue was diagnosed as an electrical issue. My vehicle was a Smart Fortwo Passion 2017. It took 1 week to solve the problem. A single wire was causing all the issues and all I had to pay for was 10 hours of their time (no parts needed), which they graciously reduced to 6 hours. The 6 hours of labor, rounded out, was around $800. Thank you 5 star auto, for all your help. My little car is my only possession I care very much for and you showed great care towards it.

I recently felt it was time to find a new mechanic and so I contacted 5 Star Auto and I've been very pleased ever since. Their customer service is excellent and they make repairs in a timely manner. Their prices are also very good. A noticeable savings over my last mechanic (which was the dealership). I would recommend 5 Star Auto for anyone looking for a reliable, competent repair facility that charges very reasonable rates.

Called last minute on a Saturday morning to get a battery replaced in our 2017 Ford Escape- which entails a much lengthier process than just dropping it in and hooking it up. Brought the car in and it was doe and ready in 1.5 hrs!! This place is awesome and reasonably priced with cost quoted up front and text communication every step of the way.

I was doing a simple service: replacing the drive belt but I learned a lot about 5 Star. They gave me options: They asked if I wanted a good or cheap drive belt along with how much each would cost. When I asked about other services, Jose said it wasn’t necessary and he would just be taking my money if I did that particular service. Quick service. Great communication. Friendly people. Reasonable prices. I’d trust these guys! Will be back again.

My check engine light came on and whenever that happens I panic and fear it is going to be thousands of dollars. I don’t like going to the dealership cause I know it is typically more expensive. It was a Saturday morning I googled auto body repair and read some reviews and decided to give 5 Star Auto a try. I pull up and was immediately treated with a hello and how can we help? I explained the check engine light was on and he said no problem we will check it out right now. In less than 5 minutes they told me what it was. He called around ordered the part and I was back first thing Monday morning to get it fixed. This might not always be the case depending on parts but I was happy it wasn’t something major and to get it taken care of asap! Very very friendly staff. I would highly recommend and will be back going forward!

These guys saved the day for me... A dealership (starts with an H ends with an A.)...wanted an outstanding price to fix my car.. One of the best mechanic shops/services I've had the pleasure of taking my vehicles to in Fresno. Friendly staff, willing to work with you, clear about everything up front, want what's best for you and your vehicle. I've been taking my two Honda's here (2013 Pilot, 2014 Accord) for a few years now - and I've had an incredible experience. Very responsive via phone. Have a convenient, easy-to-use online booking system. Very honest and upfront about prices and good explanations of what's wrong (or could go wrong). They've even fixed/diagnosed some things I've had done at other shops. Don't waste your money on others, go with these guys!

I went here because it's close to my husband's work, works out better for dropping off my car for him to be able to pick me up. It's easy to find, getting in was really easy. It's right off Abby near Home Depot and Costco. Pulling out of their driveway took a little time due to the amount of cars in the road. There is a driveway exit out onto Blackstone as well, I didn't go that way though. Either way you exit during rush hour you'll just need patience and not be in a hurry. Customer service is great, the manager was incredibly kind. They took care of my oil change, topped off all my fluids, aired up my tires, diagnosed and fixed a noise I was hearing under the car and even let me come back the following day to have the transmission tech test drive and listen to my transmission without charging me more. The car was finished and ready very quickly. I probably could have just hung out for an hour or 2 and not had to have hubby get me. They have great movies playing in the office so I really could have killed a couple hours. I recommend asking when you go how long it'll take. I just assumed it would be a long time for mine based on previous shop experiences. These guys are fast! The reviews on Google are correct. I'm grateful to have found them and can recommend them. I will be going there for our service now.

I found 5 Star Auto Repair through Google reviews and decided to use them to fix a number of issues with my truck. I dropped my truck off Tuesday morning and it was ready to be picked up early Wednesday afternoon. The owner called me a couple of times to go over what they had found and discuss the cost of repair with me. Since I decided to have him do the repairs, he waved the diagnostic fee. I felt his prices were very fair, the owner and the other mechanic working there are both very friendly and helpful people and they got the work done quickly. I will continue to use 5 Star Auto Repair and I have no problem recommending them to others.

Local Mecanic. He does his best to help the customer. I went to Discount Tires, Midas, and a few bigger stores, and this Mecanic charges reasonable prices a lot less than these other locations. I’ve taken my cars here for many repairs since my cars are old. All the repairs have been done well and with no issues.

Long story short, a squirrel chewed on my wire harness causing all sorts of bad symptoms. The head mechanic personally called prior to starting diagnostics and quickly determined from my ramblings what the problem was. I was quoted a price from Sean, and when the repair was successfully completed the final bill came out to be 20% less. 5 Star Auto is an outstanding value.

Had an engine check light…everyone extremely courteous. The team asked me to bring my BMW 2016 the same day and got a diagnostic. They ordered parts and replaced them immediately. Reasonable prices and highly recommending them!

We have taken our 4 runner here, numerous times!!! The Owner and Mechanic is absolutely Wonderful!! They keep you updated about the time and cost etc. We will never go anywhere else!! We can’t say enough good things about this business!!

I saved hundreds of dollars on AC repair by taking my car here. They took time and care to thoroughly inspect the problem and discussed the process with me every step of the way. I appreciate that the “diagnostic fee” is waived if you decide to let them make the necessary repairs. I also appreciate that if you need to leave your car overnight they lock it up in the shop. Kind, honest people who really know what they’re doing. I will definitely be coming back if our cars ever need anything they can help us with.

I went here when my regular mechanic was backed up for weeks. They made an appointment for the next morning, and later that day told me what they found. They quoted me a pretty steep price but also said they would work to find the parts cheaper. And they did! The total came out to $100 less than the original quote, they itemized everything they worked on and were very polite. Definitely would go back there again.
